The GMA Awards!

Last Thursday was the GMA awards, I was up for a nomination (yaay) but I didn’t win (boo). But even so I had a great night, although I don’t really remember much of it….

I was quite calm in all the weeks and months leading up to the awards. I had accepted pretty early on that the competition was pretty awesome and my little blog didn’t stand a chance :’)

But all that calm turned into nerves on the night. Firstly I had to dress smart, if you know me, you know that Mike and looking smart is a as rare as a sober Irishman. Secondly my  ”Friend” who I was supposed to go with pulled out at the last minute (don’t they always) which mean’t I had to….”Schmooze” for most of the night. It wasn’t so bad in the end as walking into the room I remembered that I now scarily have quite a few friends in the gaming industry now

That above picture is the only one I took for the night, why you ask? I got absolutely wasted. It was a free bar at the start of the night, so I took quite the advantage. In hindsight it was a bad idea as it meant I was barely functioning at work the next day.

2 days on I think I still have not recovered from that night., so accept my apologies on the probably shocking quality of this post.

Congrats to all the winners and the BIG THANK YOU to everybody who got me nominated in the first place. You have all made my year a very memorable one and I hope one day to pay you all back in some way.
